earthsource – the nature-based substitute for plastic cards, derived from annually renewable resources like corn, provide all the convenience and performance of “plastic” while offering customers the added appeal of cards made from nature. earthsource branded cards are a stable renewable resource that eliminates the need for petroleum-based plastic.
earthsource cards are produced using NatureWorks® PLA. NatureWorks PLA is the first and only green-house-gas-neutral polymer. The net affect of achieving zero greenhouse gas emissions is that NatureWorks has decreased its impact on fossil fuel consumption by up to 68 percent.
UVC was the first to refine the printing process on PLA material and the first to produce the earthsource gift cards for major retailers. UVC has produces millions of earthsource gift cards that are now being utilized in retail locations across the country.
